The Role:We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Practice Manager to join our leadership team at a pivotal stage in our growth. In this role, you’ll ensure the smooth daily operations of our practice, and foster a positive, motivated culture. You’ll work closely with the Directors, and oversee practice management, client care, and team well-being, with a chance to make a tangible impact on our continued success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire the office team to deliver exceptional client service and ensure efficient practice operations.
  • Collaboration: Work with the Directors and veterinary team to support clinical and operational goals through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Problem-Solving & Accountability: Identify barriers to efficiency, develop solutions, implement processes, and hold the team accountable for success.
  • HR Management: Oversee all aspects of HR across the practice, including recruitment, contracts, policy development, Health & Safety compliance, and performance management.
  • Maintaining compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
  • Operational Improvements: Continuously assess and refine office processes to enhance client service and practice efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

  • Management Experience: Several years in a practice management role, ideally within an equine veterinary practice or similar veterinary environment.
  • Leadership & Communication: A confident, proactive leader who can motivate and develop the office team while collaborating effectively with others.
  • Problem Solver: A hands-on, solutions-focused approach to challenges, with the ability to implement and maintain successful changes.
  • Financial Acumen: Solid knowledge of business finances, familiarity with P&L and KPIs.
  • HR Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of HR practices.
  • Equine Knowledge: A knowledge of horses would be advantageous.
