Job summary

Space 8 Recruitment is recruiting an Accountant to lead our Stratford-upon-Avon office. You will manage a diverse client portfolio, guide tax treatments and year-end accounts, and act as the technical lead for the team.

The role offers a 34-hour week, hybrid working (3 days in), plus generous holiday and full study support (ACA/ACCA) with a clear path to management.

Qualifications

• We require proven experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of Self-Assessment and unincorporated tax rules.
• Experience with cloud software like Xero, QuickBooks or CCH.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Stratford-upon-Avon office and manage the portfolio.
• Guide clients through tax treatments and year-end accounts.
• Review team output and reconstruct financial information from incomplete records.
• Strengthen the practice's presence in the local business community.

Your Impact

We are looking for someone to manage the Stratford‑upon‑Avon office. Whether you are an established manager or a senior accountant ready to move into a managerial role, you will act as the primary advisor for a diverse portfolio, guide clients through tax treatments and year‑end accounts, take a technical lead, review team output, and use your expertise to reconstruct financial information from incomplete records. You will also reinforce and expand the practice’s presence in the local business community.

What You Bring

• Proven experience in a UK accountancy practice (essential).
• Strong technical knowledge of Self‑Assessment and unincorporated tax rules.
• Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, CCH, or similar cloud software.
• ACA/ACCA qualification (or nearly there!).
