A well-established GP practice in Manchester is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead operations and ensure high-quality patient care. We're looking for an experienced Practice Manager to provide strong operational and strategic leadership at our well-established GP practice. You'll champion our core valuesopenness, fairness, respect and accountabilityand support the GP Partners in ensuring we deliver high-quality, compassionate care to our 9,250 -strong patient list.
Oversee the smooth efficient and safe daily running of the practice managing operations across clinical and nonclinical services
Lead on direct national and local enhanced services QOF GP contract and PCN indicators
Manage practice finances including budgets financial reporting invoicing and debt recovery to ensure sustainability and profitability
Recruit induct manage and support staff clinical and nonclinical including appraisals performance management payroll and pension oversight
Ensure premises and equipment compliance with legal health and safety and infection control standards
Maintain compliance with NHS frameworks CQC GDPR and other regulatory requirements including conducting audits handling complaints and driving quality improvement
Oversee IT systems and lead on digital transformation initiatives
Develop business cases for service improvements and represent the practice at meetings with PCN ICB external stakeholders and neighbouring practices
Coordinate business continuity and risk management planning
Support safeguarding and ensure policies are understood and followed by all staff

You will work closely with the GP Partners to lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the practice, supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Main duties of the job

Manage practice finances including budgeting, financial reporting, invoicing and debt recovery to ensure sustainability and profitability
Recruit, induct, manage and support all staff both clinical and nonclinical including appraisals, performance management, payroll and pensions
Ensure compliance with legal health and safety and infection control standards as well as NHS frameworks CQC GDPR and other regulatory requirements
Lead on audits quality improvement initiatives and complaint handling to support continuous service improvement
Oversee IT systems and support digital transformation projects to improve efficiency and patient experience
Work with GP Partners to develop business cases for service changes and improvements and represent the practice at PCN ICB and other stakeholder meetings
Coordinate business continuity planning and risk management processes
Promote safeguarding awareness and ensure policies and procedures are understood and followed by all staff
