What is Practice Innovation?

The Practice Innovation Pillar, part of AG's Innovation & Legal Technology team within the Innovation Group, supports the AG2030 strategy by delivering the right innovations to lawyers in Practice Groups. It helps them adopt tools and solutions that enhance legal service delivery.

This includes:

  • Ensuring lawyers understand available legal technology tools and how to use them effectively.
  • Encouraging confidence in new ways of working that boost productivity, reduce inefficiencies, and improve client outcomes.

Our approach combines engagement, education, and hands-on implementation, collaborating with lawyers to identify pain points, scope opportunities, and embed innovations into their daily work.

Our work involves:

  • Running training sessions to promote legal tech adoption.
  • Providing support for embedding innovation into legal processes.
  • Managing process improvement initiatives to eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Tracking and reporting on adoption, impact, and ROI of legal tech and innovation efforts.

About the Real Estate Group: Recognized as a top-tier team, it offers expertise across sectors, providing integrated services in development, investment, financing, and asset management, known for innovative solutions in complex projects.

The Role: We seek a dynamic professional to lead innovation initiatives for the Real Estate Group, bridging the gap between lawyers and the ILT Team. The role is based in Leeds or Manchester, with UK-wide travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engagement & Relationship Building: Act as a key contact, understanding needs, building relationships, and facilitating technology adoption.
  • Innovation & Legal Technology Implementation: Support onboarding and integration of legal tech tools.
  • Training, Adoption & Change Management: Deliver training, promote change, and monitor adoption and ROI.
  • Data & Reporting: Measure impact and provide insights for future investments.
  • Cross-pillar Collaboration: Share insights and contribute to strategic objectives.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience relevant to the practice area.
  • Understanding of legal processes and workflows.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Proficiency in legal technology and passion for innovation.
  • Experience in change or project management.
  • Background in legal innovation or legal tech.
