An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Blood, Cells and Cancer directorate education team, and we are looking for a band 6 Practice Facilitator to join us. The post holder will have a dual role to be responsible for facilitating education across the directorate on Specific Anti-cancer Therapy (SACT) competency training and advanced clinical skills.

• o To work with the Practice Educators in leading the teaching, training, and education of all staff
• o To work with the Practice Educators in leading the teaching, training and education of all staff in relation to systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT).
• o To be an expert IV practitioner with advanced IV therapy skills
• o To work closely with the ward staff in teaching parents' IV practice
• o To support, teach and work alongside new/junior nurses encouraging the development of confidence and skills in IV therapy, SACT)/cytotoxic therapy and all aspects of nursing
• o To act as a role model and expert clinical practitioner
• o To promote the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence-based practice

You will need to highly motivated, flexible and able to work across the directorate to provide education on advanced clinical skills. You will need to have an interest in helping nurses, allied health care professionals to learn and develop. Good teaching and assessment skills are vital to this role, as is experience with central venous access devices and administering SACT.
