Job Description:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Undertake social work practice audits and assurance activities using appropriate tools, modelling their use for others.
• Support the collation and analysis of qualitative and quantitative intelligence from quality assurance activities, reporting to the Practice Evaluation and Audit Service Manager.
• Develop and disseminate social work practice standards across Children’s Social Care services.
• Influence and guide the professional development and performance of practitioners and managers to deliver high-quality services.
• Participate in and deliver practice improvement activities, including learning sets, training, and 1-1 support.
• Support workforce development activities based on audit and quality assurance findings, in collaboration with the Principal Social Worker and Lambeth Social Care Academy.
• Promote engagement with children, young people, and families, including seeking feedback to support positive outcomes and guiding practitioners in delivering effective interventions.

Requirements:

• Professional qualification in social work and current registration with Social Work England.
• Experience leading children’s social care services at a senior social worker or team manager level, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of current research and evidence influencing children’s services.
• Experience in practice education, social work training, and practice evaluation programs.
• Up-to-date knowledge of social work practice developments, serious case reviews, and research.
• Enhanced DBS check within the last 12 months or willingness to obtain one.
