Job summary

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in Bodmin is recruiting a Practice Educator (Pre-Reg Nursing) on a fixed-term 12-month basis. You will shape the future nursing workforce by delivering high-quality learning for pre-registration learners and by developing Practice Supervisors and Assessors across the Trust.

Working within the Education and Training Team, you will promote safe, effective, well-governed placements and improve learner experience across adult, mental health and learning

• Current professional registration with NMC/HCPC.
• Post graduate teaching qualification or equivalent, or willingness to work towards.
• Experience of mentoring, supervising and assessing healthcare students in the practice setting

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Educator (Pre-Reg Nursing) working with the existing Education and Training team in CFT. This post is fixed term for one year. The role will play a key role in shaping the future nursing workforce by supporting high-quality learning experiences for non-medical pre-registration learners across CFT. Working within our dedicated Education and Training Team, you will help ensure that all learners benefit from safe, effective, and well-governed practice learning environments. As well as supporting and developing Practice Supervisors and Assessors across the trust. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on learner experience, strengthen placement quality, and contribute to the development of a confident, capable future workforce.

Main duties of the job

This post will focus on,

• Supporting existing and growing new quality clinical placements for pre-registration learners by working closely with Practice Supervisors and Assessors in clinical practice.
• The support of undergraduate learners on practice placements across CFT.

The person we are looking for will have; a strong clinical background with recent clinical experience, excellent communication skills, ability to engage and influence at all levels, demonstrate a passion for education and act as a professional role model. You will also be confident in working in cross field environments, providing support in Adult, Mental Health and Learning Disability clinical settings. You will play a key role in quality improvement initiatives leading to improved patient care. We will provide appropriate support and opportunities for your continued development. This post will work across the county.
