A local charity in London is seeking a Practice Education Facilitator to lead training and development initiatives focused on palliative care. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, mentor clinical teams, and coordinate student placements. This role requires a passion for education and a good understanding of the healthcare landscape in Essex. Applicants should possess experience in teaching and knowledge of palliative practices.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated, knowledgeable, and proactive individual with a passion for teaching and professional development to join our growing education team as a Practice Education Facilitator. You will support the delivery and coordination of effective education, training, and clinical practice development for employees, students, and volunteers, underpinning the delivery of outstanding palliative and end of life care at St Lukes Hospice.
The Practice Education Facilitator will play a central role in developing clinical competence, enhancing learning environments, and promoting evidence-based practice. You will collaborate with internal and external partners, including universities and other community partners in Mid and South Essex, to provide high-quality learning and assessment experiences across our care services.
A good working knowledge of local healthcare networks and an understanding of the education landscape in Essex would be an advantage in this role.
We are a local charity providing compassionate care to people whose illnesses are no longer curable. We promote dignity in dying and empower people to make the choices they want, from the moment they are diagnosed.
Our care considers people's medical, spiritual and emotional needs, including support for loved ones and carers. Anyone living in Basildon and Thurrock can call on us 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Working alongside other healthcare providers, our specialist services are available at the hospice, out in the community or in a person's place of residence. Together, we fulfil people's choices at the end of their life. We are a charity and the services we provide are free. We rely on voluntary income from local people to deliver the care they deserve.
