The Role

We’re looking for an experienced and inspiring Practice Director to join our leadership team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave later this year. This key role will oversee a diverse, high profile portfolio of household brands in sectors including travel & tourism, retail, consumer technology, energy and utilities. You’ll be responsible for driving client strategy, leading and motivating a high-performing team, and continuing to grow a commercially successful and thriving practice.

Responsibilities

  • Model client service excellence and provide strategic counsel to senior clients, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Lead and oversee integrated communications campaigns, ensuring outstanding delivery
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team, fostering development and collaboration
  • Drive business growth within the practice area, including client retention and new business
  • Collaborate with agency leadership to shape direction, culture, and performance
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience at Director or ‘Head of’ level in a Consumer PR agency
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • A track record of delivering high-impact campaigns and client satisfaction
  • Excellent commercial acumen and confidence in financial oversight
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable stepping into a leadership role on a fixed-term basis with immediate impact
