Job overview

The Theatres and Recovery is recruiting for a Full-time Band 7 Practice Development Senior team leader to join our highly motivated practice development team providing support and development to our nursing team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the effective and efficient planning and delivery of the educational and developmental strategy for the Theatres and Recovery at the Royal London Hospital. They will be expected to provide professional leadership within the education team and provide direction and inspirational leadership to all members of the multi-disciplinary team within the area for which they are accountable. The post holder will also be involved in the development of protocols / guidelines, working closely with education academy+/universities and patient information.

The post holder will practice at an advanced level with prior experience and proven ability in supporting and educating within a clinical environment. They will work with the practice development team to support and promote effective multi-disciplinary team education opportunities. It is essential that the post holder holds a post graduate certificate in education (PgCert).

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible as part of a team for the effective and efficient planning and delivery of the educational and developmental strategy for the adult Operating Theatres at the Royal London Hospital. The post holder will be expected to provide professional leadership within the education team and provide direction and inspirational leadership to all members of the multi-disciplinary team within the area for which they are accountable. The post holder will be involved in the development of protocols / guidelines and patient information.

  • Extensive experience of managing an area; including management of rotas, resources, budgets and staff
