Job summary

PRO-TAX RECRUITMENT LIMITED in High Wycombe is recruiting a Practice Bookkeeper for an established accountancy firm. You will look after bookkeeping across a portfolio of external clients with direct client contact and the autonomy to manage your own jobs.

Responsibilities include posting sales, purchases, bank transactions and journals; reconciling control accounts; producing management information; maintaining client cashbooks using Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• Practice bookkeeping experience is essential.
• Experience managing work across a portfolio of external clients.
• Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and general IT skills.
• Strong client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping for a portfolio of external clients.
• Posting sales, purchases, bank transactions and journals.
• Preparing and reconciling control accounts.
• Producing information required for management accounts.
• Maintaining and writing up client cashbooks.
• Reviewing bookkeeping completed by other team members.
• Liaising directly with clients to answer queries and finalise work.
