Practice and Technical Officer - Construction and Architecture Sector

Hays is partnering with a major professional body within the construction and architecture industry to recruit a Practice and Technical Officer for their London Head Office.

This organization is a not-for-profit institute and a qualifying body within the architecture sector. Their activities include managing and representing chartered members’ interests, advising on legislative changes affecting the industry, and promoting excellence within the sector.

The London head office team consists of 25 staff, and they seek an additional team member to support their practice and technical department.

A full induction will be provided; therefore, specific experience isn't mandatory. Candidates with a degree and some experience in a technical administrative role are encouraged to apply.

The role primarily involves administrative support, acting as the first point of contact for members' inquiries. Excellent administrative skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Responsibilities include research, preparing case studies, attending meetings and taking minutes, and diary management.

Candidates with an interest or background in architecture, law, or experience in a corporate environment who are interested in the not-for-profit sector are encouraged to apply. Transferable skills and a thoughtful, inquisitive approach are highly valued.
