TSR Legal are working with a renowned regional law firm with offices in Cardiff who are seeking a Best Practice and Risk Manager to join their collaborative and forward-thinking team in Cardiff.

The RoleWorking closely with the Head of Best Practice & Risk, you will be at the heart of the firm's regulatory and compliance operations. You'll help ensure that all quality, risk, compliance and information security systems run smoothly across all offices. From professional indemnity claims and client complaints, to AML audits, compliance breach investigations and preparing regulatory reports - this is a broad, impactful role where attention to detail and initiative are key.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the firm's professional indemnity insurance claims process.
- Support investigations into client complaints, data breaches, and compliance incidents.
- Conduct internal file audits and support internal/external ISO audits.
- Maintain and monitor team registers, compliance calendars, and vetting protocols.
- Work closely with the MLRO on AML compliance and client onboarding.
- Liaise with credit control regarding debt-related risk matters.
- Provide management reports and data for strategic reviews.
- Answer compliance and AML queries from legal teams.
- Keep internal policies and procedures up to date in response to new legislation.
What We're Looking For:- Strong legal or compliance background with appropriate professional qualifications.
- Proven ability to manage complex regulatory and risk matters within a professional services environment.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Proactive, highly organised, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines.
- Strong IT skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite.
- A collaborative and flexible team player, able to project professionalism at all levels.
