Trial Balance in Redruth is seeking an experienced Practice Accountant to join our friendly team. You will take responsibility for your own workload while developing technical and client-facing skills.

The role involves bookkeeping, VAT returns, and producing year-end accounts for varied client portfolios. You will engage directly with clients, support colleagues, and participate in ongoing training to build a rewarding long-term career.

Formación

• Experience in an accountancy practice with knowledge of accounts preparation, bookkeeping and VAT.
• AAT qualification or equivalent would be advantageous.
• Organised, accurate and able to manage own workload while contributing to a team.
• Strong communication skills and good working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

• Maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting clients with day-to-day bookkeeping.
• Preparing VAT returns and ensuring timely submission.
• Producing year-end accounts for diverse portfolios including limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Handling client queries and developing professional client relationships.
• Supporting colleagues with ad-hoc accounting work and contributing to practice success.
• Staying up-to-date with technical developments and engaging in ongoing training.
