This role is an excellent opportunity for an Accountant looking to advance their career in the Practice and Accountancy Services industry. Based in Cheltenham or Swindon Wiltshire, you'll play a key role in managing financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Description

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers and reconciliations.
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and management reports.
  • Audit field work from planning through to completion, including on-site client visits - audit experience is desired but not necessary
  • Prepare and review Corporation Tax Computations
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial queries and discrepancies.
  • Oversee tax reporting and filing requirements as needed.
  • Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems.
  • Provide support during audits and liaise with external auditors when required.

Profile

A successful Accountant should have:

  • A recognised qualification ACA or ACCA and with a relevant degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Previous experience in financial reporting and compliance processes.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
