Qualifications

• Hands-on design experience in mechanical engineering.
• Strong 2D AutoCAD drafting for GA and fabrication drawings.
• Practical DFM and DFA application.
• Understanding of fabrication, materials, assembly and installation.
• HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce GA, layout and fabrication drawings.
• Create 2D drawings predominantly in AutoCAD, with some 3D modelling.
• Apply DFM and DFA to ensure manufacturability and installability.
• Collaborate with fabrication teams, suppliers and project managers.
• Attend site surveys and take measurements for design accuracy.
• Review and update drawings based on feedback.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision histories and document control.
• Ensure designs meet engineering, health and safety and quality standards.
