A leading childcare agency is seeking a qualified Nanny Housekeeper to support a busy family in Wem, Shropshire. The successful candidate will care for two young girls and manage domestic tasks effectively. This full-time position requires flexibility, excellent childcare skills, and a proactive approach to family routines.

Nanny Housekeeper with a flexible approach to supporting a busy family routine and care for their two joyful girls who are 1 & 2 years old.
The Nanny will be a qualified child care professional but also have an excellent understanding of domestic duties including light housekeeping and creating homemade nutritious meals for the whole family. The nanny will have good knowledge of developmental milestones and be able to support and lead the girls to achieve these goals positively.
The family enjoy attending baby clubs and swimming classes which the girls look forward to, they immerse themselves in with confidence. The children love arts, crafts and cooking to support their creativity. Planning regular outings to the children’s favourite weekly activities will also be required
Childcare and Housekeeping duties will be split across the week with Mondays being exclusively for food shopping and food preparation including making homemade meals and snacks. The nanny will have a good understanding of food hygiene and storage. The housekeeping duties on Thursdays and Fridays will be to maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment alongside the weekly cleaner. Duties include laundry (washing, folding, ironing), tidying play areas, resetting bedrooms for daily routines, cleaning and organising toys, organising wardrobes.
The parents have intentions of growing their family and therefore the nanny will have experience supporting pregnant women and good new born experience. Being adaptable to the needs of each day is required with open communication with the parents and occasional shared care alongside the mother on Thursdays and Fridays.

Minimum experience Level for this job: 2 years as an experience nanny

above
Hours of work: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Days required: Monday – Friday
Occasional overnight care is required by prior arrangement.
Large, Victorian, 3 storey house. Good sized garden with lots of play equipment.
Cleaner visits twice a week to achieve deeper cleaning of the home
Pets in the home: 1 cockerpoo (no care needed)
Driving required: Yes
Job Start Date: 1st August 2025 but flexible for the right candidate
Pay: £38,610gross per annum (pro rata for agreed hours)
