About the job

Your portfolio of clients will be fascinating and endlessly diverse. You will be building corporate fame for a range of unique businesses and brands; one day, you might be platforming neuroscience futurism for a tech‑media entrepreneur, the next launching a foundation to find London’s next entrepreneurs for a self‑made property tycoon.

You’ll also be navigating complex reputational issues whilst building and protecting the legacies of illustrious leaders and iconic brands; current and recent clients include one of the great British fashion icons, a giant of independent publishing, an entrepreneur‑turned‑philanthropist, an eco‑pioneer, a party in the UK’s highest profile ongoing civil case, one of the UK’s biggest entertainment businesses, an inventor rebelling against the tech giants, a global music industry maverick and a rock legend to name just a few.

As Senior Account Director working across the agency but principally for Borkowski’s industry‑leading corporate and crisis communications team, you’ll steer strategy, be a calm centre of gravity in complex reputational issues, whilst protecting the legacies of illustrious leaders and iconic brands spanning fashion, publishing, entertainment and more.

Key responsibilities
  • Senior Leader on major accounts: ensure that every aspect of a project or retained account runs smoothly, and to the client’s satisfaction, as well as hitting deadlines and meeting internal quality benchmarks.
  • Media Relations Lead – Sell‑in stories to senior media contacts and ensure that any major media enquiries are handled effectively.
  • Client Strategic Lead: Take a leading role in the production of strategy and discovery work, ensuring that the scope is delivered to the highest standards.
  • Drive business development through confident network building and producing materials (e.g. case studies) that aid business development.
  • Secure new clients by producing and contributing to proposals, pitches and RFIs for potential new clients.
  • Line manage a team of 2‑3, ensuring high standards of performance and motivation, that all training and up‑skilling requirements are met, and that they hit consistent career development milestones.
About you
  • Has proven agency or senior in‑house experience leading major PR accounts at SAD level across corporate and reputation mandates, including live issues and crisis support.
  • Is a confident client lead who builds positive relationships with senior decision‑makers.
  • Has strong senior media relationships and sharp editorial judgement, ideally including business and tech press.
  • Is highly organised with the ability to resource teams, manage scopes and budgets, and deliver at pace without compromising quality.
  • Is commercially minded, spotting opportunities to grow existing accounts, drive new business and persuasively summarise the offering.
  • Is a motivated, diplomatic leader who handles forceful personalities with grace and gravitas. Picks up the phone, seizes opportunities, and tackles challenges head‑on.
  • Has strong leadership skills, the ability to organise and motivate junior colleagues and drive development across the agency.
