Additionally, monitoring industry trends, conducting competitive analysis, and building relationships with key industry analysts are essential to enhance the company's market position.

The role requires translating complex technical concepts into compelling narratives, fostering strong media and analyst relationships, and supporting the broader marketing team with data-driven insights to elevate the company's brand and reputation.

The role will also manage the PR agency, oversee crisis communication, and manage analyst relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • PR Strategy & Execution: Developing and implementing PR strategies to boost brand visibility, managing media relations, and driving coverage for the company, its products, and leadership.
  • Media Relations: Building and maintaining relationships with journalists, publications, and influencers to secure positive press coverage and manage inquiries.
  • Analyst Relations: Cultivating relationships with industry analysts, ensuring the company's representation in reports and rankings, and coordinating briefings.
  • Content & Messaging: Creating clear, compelling narratives and press materials aligned with the company's value proposition.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitoring industry trends and competitor activities to inform PR and marketing strategies.
  • Support Events: Supporting the team at key industry events, especially during product launches or campaigns, to maximize PR opportunities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Working with marketing, product marketing, and executive teams to ensure alignment of PR strategies with company goals.
  • Crisis Communication: Leading crisis communication efforts to protect the company's reputation.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of PR and analyst programs to assess their impact on brand perception.

These responsibilities are vital for enhancing the company's visibility and reputation through PR efforts.

Skills & experience

Essential Skills and Behaviours:
  • Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to craft narratives, and manage media relations. Demonstrated 5+ years of PR agency management resulting in coverage in key publications.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute PR strategies aligned with business objectives and industry trends.
  • Project Management: Skilled in managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and coordinating across teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze media coverage, market trends, and competitive activity to inform decisions, with examples of coverage trend improvements.
