Job description

Hours: The role of Comms, PR & Events Manager is a permanent opportunity working 35 hours per week. The role will be hybrid, requiring attendance at our Manchester office 2 days per week.

Salary: £35,000 Per Annum

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will:

  1. Develop and manage a strategic communications calendar aligned with business objectives.
  2. Create content for various channels including website news/blogs, LinkedIn, email communications, and PR/media releases.
  3. Manage relationships with PR agencies to secure media coverage and speaking opportunities.
  4. Monitor media coverage, produce reports, and adjust PR strategies as needed.
  5. Handle email marketing content within HubSpot, coordinating with the Demand Generation team.
  6. Collaborate with designers to ensure message consistency and brand alignment.
  7. Plan and coordinate participation in key industry events such as NACFB Expo and broker network events.
  8. Support sales with event logistics, collateral, and briefing materials.
  9. Manage third-party suppliers and develop budgets, timelines, and KPIs.
Candidate Requirements

To succeed, you should have:

  • Experience in PR, communications, or events, preferably in B2B financial services.
  • Excellent copywriting skills and content development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot and LinkedIn for content and campaign management.
  • Proven ability to manage event logistics from planning to execution.
  • Experience managing external PR agencies and delivering ROI.
  • Strong budgeting, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
