I am working with a leading strategic communications consultancy who are looking for an Associate Director to join their consumer-facing industries team. My client are a dynamic and innovative public relations agency committed to delivering exceptional communication strategies and results for a diverse range of clients. With a focus on strategic thinking, creativity, and excellence, they take pride in crafting impactful campaigns that drive meaningful engagement and success.

Overview

My client are seeking a motivated and experienced SAD or ASD with a strong background in corporate and financial communications, ideally with experience in the consumer business/retail/leisure sectors.

In this role, you’ll take the lead in managing client relationships, supporting executives in the team, and crafting impactful PR strategies that drive results. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing campaigns, ensuring seamless delivery, and providing strategic counsel to clients. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a real passion for public relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies tailored to client needs and objectives.
  • Campaign Execution: Oversee the execution of PR campaigns, including media outreach, content creation, event planning, and social media management.
  • Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media contacts to secure coverage and enhance client visibility.
  • Reporting: Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing clients with regular updates and insights.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of services. This includes supporting the Director with new business opportunities and overseeing the work of more junior team members.
  • Crisis Management: Provide strategic counsel and support during crisis situations, helping clients navigate challenges effectively.

  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in public relations, preferably within an agency setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
