Job Description
Develop and implement creative PR strategies to enhance the company's public image.
Provide day-to-day management and delivery of all public relations activities and political/parliamentary engagement to promote the transport investment.
Working with the Stakeholder Manager, design and deliver a proactive media and PR strategy.
Manage relationships with media stakeholders to maximise positive coverage.
Manage projects/campaigns (internally and externally).
Coordinate with the marketing team to align PR activities with marketing initiatives.
Track media coverage and respond to media enquiries promptly and professionally.
Organise and manage PR events to boost brand awareness.
Provide crisis management support when needed.
Monitor and report on PR results regularly.
The Successful Applicant
A successful PR and Media Contractor should have:
A degree in Communications, Journalism, PR or related field.
Substantial experience in developing PR and media strategies, and handling plans, with effective key messages that get traction/action in multilayered and complex stakeholder/public environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Substantial experience in managing effective public affairs and engagement activities including media relations, social media, change communications, stakeholder engagement, conference and events, and e-communications.
Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of PR software and tools.
A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
