Description: Exciting Part Qualified Accountant Opportunity Based in EdinburghFlexible Working£35000-£40000

Your new company
Hays are proud to be working with a fast-growing charity organisation based in Edinburgh City Centre who are looking to add an enthusiastic PQ Accountant to join their team through an exciting period of growth.
Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for:

  • Recording transactions on the Xero accounting system
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Weekly payment runs including invoices and staff/ trustee expenses; probably also payments of grants.
  • Monitoring and reconciling monthly income, and also the different streams of fundraising income
  • Liaising with the payroll provider to ensure monthly payroll is processed accurately and on time
  • Producing journals for monthly management accounting
  • Assisting with the budgeting process
  • Assisting with preparation for the annual financial account production and audit
  • Assisting with financial due diligence on organisations applying for grants
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone currently pursuing qualifications who is looking to continue their development within an organisation that will proactively support individual growth.

To succeed, you will be a motivated and enthusiastic finance professional who has similar experience in a previous role. You will have a strong attention to detail and be comfortable communicating at all levels within an organisation.
