Job summary

Staffline is recruiting PPT Operatives in Luton (LU4) for a freezer environment. You will operate Electric PPTs, cross-dock frozen stock, and manage deliveries within a strict safety framework. This full-time role offers fixed shifts from 7am-4pm, 1pm-10pm, or 11pm-8am, with overtime opportunities and good transport links.

Training is provided if you have in-house PPT experience; live PPT licence is desirable. Temp-to-perm prospects exist for reliable performers in a busy logistics centre.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience operating Electric PPT in freezing environments.
• Physically capable of full shifts in heavy sub-zero conditions.
• PPT licence desirable; in-house training provided.

Responsibilities

Great opportunity to work as a PPT Operative for our client's logistics centre, which deals with freezer work.

Staffline is recruiting PPT Operatives in Luton (LU4).

Rate of Pay

• AM £12.95 per hour
• Nights £13.40 per hour

Shift Schedule

This is a full-time role working fixed shifts, any 5 out of 7, and the hours of work are:

• 7am to 4pm
• 1pm to 10pm
• 11pm to 8am

Your Time at Work

As a PPT Operative your duties include:

• Equipment Operation: safely and effectively operating Electric Powered Pallet Trucks (PPT) in sub-zero temperatures.
• Stock Management: Cross docking frozen stock across the facility.
• Logistics: Loading and unloading distribution deliveries accurately.
• Site Care: Maintaining strict cleanliness, organization, and tidiness within the warehouse zone.
• Compliance: Following rigorous health and safety procedures at all times due to the specialized cold environment.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will be reliable, have a flexible attitude toward shift extensions, and a strong eye for detail. You will have complete physical readiness to work full shifts inside a heavy freezing environment.

Proven, hands-on experience operating an Electric PPT is strictly required. A live PPT Licence would be desirable but training will be provided to candidates with proven in house experience.
