Join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a contract manager within the Property & Capital Planning department. This full-time role involves overseeing multiple PPP/PFI contracts, providing critical analysis and advisory support to senior management within a prominent healthcare system in Scotland.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, extending to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
This is a permanent, full-time position of 37 hours. The shift pattern is to be confirmed.
Working within the Property & Capital Planning department, the post holder will be responsible for contract management of 14 existing PPP/PFI/DBFM contracts.
The post holder will undertake tasks delegated by the Head of Property & Asset Management, contributing to contract management advice across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. Technical knowledge of NHS guidance such as SHTMs and SHPNs is required.
The role requires managing a varied workload, being responsive to requirements from the Board, internal and external stakeholders, and advisors. The post holder should possess sufficient experience and knowledge to act with authority and autonomy.
Support will be provided in contract management, analysis, and guidance to the Director of Estates & Facilities regarding the appointment and management of expert advisors, with specialist knowledge of PFI contracts.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret complex data, technical information, and drawings. A valid driving license is required.
