Job summary

Millbrook Healthcare is hiring for a field-based maintenance and service role in the community. You will carry out PPMs on electrical and hoisting equipment, perform pre-delivery inspections, deliver and install equipment at user homes, and collect items for return to the warehouse.

The role supports flexible working and may involve an out-of-hours rota. Millbrook emphasizes CARES values and aims to develop a rewarding career while helping service users meet their mobility needs.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication with staff, prescribers and service users.
  • Practical skills with mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Good DIY skills and ability to use hand tools.
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Qualification in carpentry, electronics or engineering desirable.

Responsibilities

  • PPM's - maintain electrical and hoisting equipment in community settings.
  • Deliveries - inspect products pre-delivery and deliver to users.
  • Collections - collect equipment returned to the warehouse.
  • Repairs - carry out repairs on equipment as needed.
  • Installation - install equipment at user locations.

Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • PPM's - To carry out maintenance on electrical and hoisting equipment within the community in line with in-house training and current legislation
  • Deliveries - To undertake pre-delivery inspection of all products and the delivery of community equipment to service user's at their home or other locations as required
  • Collections - Responsible for the collection of community equipment to be returned to the warehouse
  • Repairs - Responsible for carrying out repairs on equipment where required
  • Installation - Responsible for carrying out installation of equipment

This role may also be involved in the emergency out of hours rota., Therefore we are open to supporting flexible working requests such as part time working, job shares and flexible hours wherever possible, to support our colleagues life style differences. Job Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills are required to interact with internal staff, prescribers and service users

  • Qualification in carpentry, electronics or engineering would be desirable or evidence of applying these within previous job
