Genie Shopping is one of Europe’s leading CSS', running Google Shopping campaigns on a CPA basis through the Affiliate Channel. We currently partner with some of Europe’s leading retailers such as eBay, Currys, Boots, Lookfantastic, Samsung, Philips, B&Q and more.

Over the past 12 months, Genie Shopping has entered a new phase of growth, generating over £500million in sales, and growing 100% YoY in respect of Gross Profit.

While the team is distributed, we are flexible tomeet in-person for client meetings, industry events, strategy days and team socials. There are requirements to travel to Cambridge once a month, with London (or other UK locations) once a month on average.

Job Overview

As a PPC Manager at Genie Shopping, you will play a crucial role in our continued growth and succewithin the performance marketing landscape. Genie Shopping is a leading European CSS, running Google Shopping campaigns on a CPA basis through the Affiliate Channel, partnering with major retailers like eBay, Currys, Boots, Lookfantastic, Samsung, and Philips.

Having generated over £500 million in sales and seeing 100% YoY Gross Profit growth, we are seekinga talented individual to support Genie Shopping with our future growth. You will join the Paid Mediateam in a collaborative, remote environment, working alongside the rest of the Genie Shopping team recognised as the "Best Team in Performance Marketing 2025" and "Great Places to Work 2024-25."

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PPC Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Google Premium CSS partner, Genie Shopping is at the forefront of digital advertising, specialising in performance shopping campaigns. This role is pivotal to our strategy, focusing on optimising and managing paid media campaigns to drive our clients' success. Your expertise in Google & Microsoft Shopping Ads will be crucial in delivering exceptional results and maintaining our position as a leader in the industry. You will oversee campaigns for our 1000+ retail clients, working closely with the head of paid media to optimise campaigns, grow revenue, and identify new opportunities for growth.

Genie Shopping has a distributed working model which allows our team to work from home or the office but with a requirement for monthly trips to the Cambridge co-working space and occasional travel for team and client meetings.

Key Responsibilities

As a PPC Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our paid search innovation, working with vast datasets to generate powerful insights and drive success for both Genie Shopping and our clients. This dynamic role offers you the autonomy to experiment with new ideas and philosophies, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in Shopping Ads campaigns. Your key responsibilities will include:

Campaign Management:

  • Ownership of paid media campaigns in alignment with Genie Shopping's philosophy and guiding principles.
  • Systematically implement new features across accounts as they are introduced.
  • Monitor campaign performance, addressing fluctuations and maintaining account health as per Genie Shopping best practice.
  • Adopt a test-and-learn approach to trial new campaign structures and identify incremental growth opportunities.

Strategic Contribution:

  • Work with the head of paid media and product team to devise systematic solutions for challenges and opportunities.
  • Contribute to developing and enhancing GSN's paid media strategy and roadmap.
  • Continuously explore new opportunities, features, and channels within the performance shopping landscape.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring consistent progress and decision prioritisation.

Reporting and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with partnerships and product teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
  • Work closely with the paid media and partnerships team to identify opportunities for client growth.
  • Deliver regular reports and presentations for both internal and external use, highlighting key metrics and insights.

Other:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to paid media.
  • Identify and attend relevant industry events.
  • Maintain strong relationships with performance shopping partners like Google and Microsoft.

Depending on experience and the technicality of the role, you may be required to work from our Cambridge office two days a week during the onboarding period.

Skills & Experience

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in using Google and Microsoft Ads, Google Analytics, and other relevant tools and platforms.
  • Understanding of product feed structures and experience with optimising and enriching the data within them.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the digital advertising landscape, including emerging trends and best practices.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • A keen ability to problem-solve and find solutions.

Experience:

  • 3 years + experience in PPC.
  • Proven experience in managing and optimising Google and Microsoft Shopping Ads campaigns.
  • Experience in ecommerce and understanding of the retail sector in the context of digital marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of the performance marketing industry, specifically Affiliate.
