Job description

PPA Cover Teachers needed for Summer term - Birmingham and Sandwell Primary Schools

Experienced PPA Teachers are required for the summer term in Birmingham and Sandwell Schools.

Hays Education is currently working in partnership with primary schools in Birmingham and Sandwell to recruit PPA teachers starting June 2025. You will be covering PPA and subject leader time across Years 1 - Year 6. The roles are initially for the summer term but could be extended into the autumn term 2025/26.

Your new role

As a PPA Cover Teacher, you will cover lessons when the class teacher is planning or preparing. You will deliver the lessons left by the class teacher and ensure pupils stay engaged and reach their potential. Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships quickly with staff and pupils are essential. This role is ideal for an NQT/ECT gaining classroom experience or someone seeking a part-time teaching role.
