West Midlands/ temporary / £165 - 210 per day

Location: Inner-city Primary School, South Birmingham
Contract: Part-time (via TeacherActive)
Start Date: ASAP / Ongoing
Hours: Flexible part-time schedule (typically 2–3 days per week)

Are you an experienced and adaptable Primary Teacher looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity? TeacherActive is proud to be working with an inner-city Primary School in South Birmingham, who are seeking a passionate PPA Cover Teacher to support their Upper Key Stage 2 classes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated teacher who enjoys variety, thrives in different classroom environments, and is keen to make a positive impact across multiple year groups.

The Role:

Deliver engaging lessons across Upper KS2 (Year 5 and Year 6) in the absence of the class teacher.

Work collaboratively with teaching teams to ensure smooth lesson transitions and consistency for pupils.

Follow school policies and uphold strong classroom management practices.

Inspire, motivate, and engage pupils with creative and inclusive teaching approaches.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Proven experience teaching within Upper Key Stage 2.

A flexible, enthusiastic, and positive approach to teaching.

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

A good understanding of Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).

Requirements:

Two professional references from your most recent teaching roles.

A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Availability to work part-time, with flexibility to work across different days if required.
