For many fans of Formula One, the sport exists between lights and chequered flag on a Sunday afternoon. It begins and ends with the exploits of the drivers on the track. But this is merely the tip of the spear. The reality of modern F1 is that of a complex and intertwined operation, every part of which needs to perform near its limit if success is to be achieved. From the pit crew searching for the ultimate repeatable pit stop, to the inspiration of the designers, the application of engineers and the herculean efforts of an army of fabricators and machinists. Much of our success is thanks to the diversity of thought and spectrum of skill sets held within the team, our ability to recognise unique contributions from individual team members is just a part of why we love what we do.

Job Description

Are you passionate about turning complex plans into smooth operational delivery? Do you thrive on keeping things moving, communicating clearly, and solving problems before they escalate? At Red Bull Powertrains, we’re building something extraordinary and we’re looking for an Engineering Coordinator to play a critical role in ensuring our high-performance programs run like clockwork.

As our Engineering Coordinator, you’ll be the crucial link between Technical Planning and Production Control, making sure operational requirements are clearly defined, accurately communicated, and fully aligned across the business. You’ll help drive the delivery of cutting-edge Formula 1 Power Unit projects, making sure every component is where it needs to be — in the right quantity, at the right time.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Maintaining live and accurate demand data in the Red Bull Powertrains business system, aligned with project and program plans, to ensure supply chain teams have clear instructions on quantities and delivery dates.
  • Defining the operational quantities strategy, ensuring it supports programme goals and stays within budget.
  • Allocating parts for testing and events, keeping our trackside operations fully supported.
  • Reporting and escalating hardware shortages ahead of events to avoid last-minute surprises.
  • Managing demand placement and safety stocks to ensure parts availability aligns with engineering needs.
  • Translating change requests and test requirements into clear operational actions.

What We’re Looking For

We want someone who loves structure, clarity, and communication. You’ll be successful in this role if you:

  • Have experience working within an engineering, planning, or operations environment (preferably automotive or motorsport).
  • Are highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced, technical setting.
  • Understand how to interpret and manage complex technical requirements and translate them into clear operational actions.
  • Are comfortable using business systems and tools to manage demand, supply, and workflow (experience with ERP or PLM systems is a bonus).
  • Thrive on teamwork, take ownership of your work, and are confident communicating across departments.

Not only is this a fantastic opportunity to join the Production Control team as an Engineering Coordinator, but it is also a great role for getting stuck-in to the PU development program here at Red Bull Powertrains. A good salary is just the start, there are many other benefits too such as our bonus scheme, private healthcare, life assurance, workplace nursery, pension scheme, on-site gym & fitness classes, free daily food, and cycle-to-work scheme. But above all, the job satisfaction of making a real contribution to our championship-winning grand prix cars is unmatched.
