The Role

As a Powertrain Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for the overall validation and execution of automotive engine/BEV programs, ensuring all aspects of validation are managed effectively. You will create DVP and Test Cases, perform DVP assessment, and be responsible for development, performance, and functional verification to sign off.

Your responsibilities:

• Creating robust test plans (DVP) for validating systems and components.
• Performing routine quality control tests, analyzing data to understand variance.
• Testing various test rigs, including those for e-drive and ICE systems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ensuring process quality planning and supporting virtual and physical builds.
• Working with advanced diagnostic tools.
• Diagnosing mechanical issues, proposing solutions, and participating in resolution.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Strong technical background in engine engineering and quality tools.
• Experience with test rig specification, setup, and instrumentation.
• Problem-solving skills using 8D methodology.
• Knowledge of calibration tools like INCA, Concerto, Puma, MDA.
• Understanding of test processes and equipment.
• Familiarity with data acquisition systems and automotive communication protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s/Master's in mechanical or automotive engineering.
• Knowledge of propulsion, vehicle calibration, and diagnostics.
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of MHEV/BEV systems architecture and testing plans.
