Coventry
An opportunity to work for a consultancy who are a market leader in their field, they are looking for talented and motivated Engine Test Technicians to become a crucial part of their team.

The company offers a range of engineering services which include vehicle integration, calibration, and homologation for advanced internal combustion engines, hybrid powertrains, and EV's. This role is based in Coventry, a state-of-the-art facility alongside a team of highly qualified specialists, offering an excellent salary with benefits and the opportunity to work on a variety of powertrain projects for clients around Europe.

What You Will Do As Powertrain Test Technician

1. Installation of test objects into test rigs and commissioning of test objects in Test Cells.
2. Programming and monitoring of drive cycles, ensuring the smooth operation of tests.
3. Maintenance of engine and Test Cell, guaranteeing the highest standards of quality and safety.
4. Utilisation of engine diagnostic scan tools for fault finding and repair.
5. Operation of machinery and tools to fabricate, modify engine components, piping, and mounting.

What You Will Bring As Powertrain Test Technician

1. Hands-on experience with engines including, engine and component strip, repair, and assembly.
2. NVQ Level 3 in vehicle engineering or a completed apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical orientated discipline.
3. Profound knowledge of internal combustion engines operating principles.
4. Knowledge of test bed operation and test bed control systems.
5. Good written and verbal English communication skills.
6. Confident in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
