Job summary

Jaguar TCS Racing offers a 12-month student placement (Sept 2027–Aug 2028) in the Formula E Powertrain department. On-site, full-time, you’ll work with engineers and graduates to develop propulsion systems for electric racing, learning across electrical, mechanical and software domains.

Ideal candidates are pursuing STEM degrees in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic/Automotive/ Motorsport Engineering, with CAD and electronics interests.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in STEM or engineering fields.
• Interest in electrical motors, traction systems and inverters.
• Multidisciplinary approach to electrical, mechanical and software design.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of powertrain technology.
• Assist Mechanical CAD design on/off race car with drawings.
• Assist electronic schematic design and PCB evaluation.
• Support testing on dynos and trackside.
• Contribute to software development and deployment.
