Job description

Automotive EV Propulsion Integration Engineer

We are seeking an experienced engineer to focus on the integration and validation of electric vehicle propulsion systems. The role involves PiL/ViL testing, verification & validation, DOE execution, vehicle DV planning, rig data analysis, and 8D problem solving, all grounded in strong engineering principles.

The responsibilities include:

  1. Design validation, development, integration, and testing of electric propulsion systems, including high-voltage (HV) power systems, electric drive units (EDUs), and batteries.
  2. Conducting PiL (Powertrain in the Loop) and ViL (Vehicle in the Loop) testing to ensure system performance and regulatory compliance.
  3. Developing system architecture, software, calibration, and integration to enhance the EV driving experience.
  4. Developing and executing test plans, analyzing results, and collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  5. Participating in design reviews and contributing to new EV technology development.
  6. Working with software engineers on control system calibration and validation.
  7. Ensuring safety and regulatory compliance of the systems.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in BEV propulsion systems and high-voltage (HV) systems.
  • Proven experience with PiL/ViL testing, validation, and test planning aligned with standards.
  • Strong skills in test data analysis from rigs and compliance testing.
  • Knowledge of safety functionalities, VSC, sensors, and calibration techniques.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
  • Exposure to AVL or Horiba test rigs is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including 8D methodology.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence tools.
