The Role

As a Powertrain Benchmarking Engineer, you will work as the Powertrain function Benchmarking engineer, supporting the evaluation of competitor vehicle attributes, focusing on hybrid and electric vehicles for efficiency, performance, and systems landscape.

Your responsibilities:

• Perform benchmarking analysis for Powertrain systems and maintain databases (A2MAC1) with latest attribute metrics and competitors’ intelligence data.
• Conduct competitor attribute benchmarking, including features, testing, measurement, and visual assessments.
• Support lead engineers in establishing attribute targets.
• Analyze market trends in the global powertrain landscape.
• Understand market trends in the automotive industry and collaborate across industry forums worldwide.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Understanding of vehicle efficiency physics, energy demand cycles, electric range, fuel economy, CO2 emissions, and performance metrics for BEV/Hybrids.
• Knowledge of vehicle engineering and cross-functional experience.
• Experience benchmarking competitor vehicles and maintaining databases like A2MAC1.
• Experience with propulsion system benchmarking, especially xHEV systems.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and coordinate with wider teams on electrified/hybrid vehicles.
• Bachelor's/Master's in mechanical, electrical, or automotive engineering.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Git.
• Experience with Excel Macros, Matlab, or other coding languages.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
