The Role

As a Powertrain Benchmarking Engineer, you will support the evaluation of competitor vehicle attributes, focusing on hybrid and electric vehicles for efficiency, performance, and systems landscape.

Your responsibilities:

• Perform benchmarking analysis for Powertrain systems and maintain databases (A2MAC1) with latest attribute metrics and competitor intelligence.
• Conduct competitor attribute benchmarking including features, testing, measurement, and visual assessments.
• Assist lead engineers in establishing attribute targets.
• Analyze market trends in the global powertrain landscape.
• Understand industry trends and collaborate across industry forums worldwide.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Understanding of vehicle efficiency physics, energy demand, electric range, fuel economy, CO2, and performance metrics for BEV/Hybrids.
• Knowledge of vehicle engineering and cross-functional experience.
• Experience in benchmarking competitor vehicles and maintaining databases like A2MAC1.
• Experience with propulsion systems, especially xHEV analysis.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and coordinate with teams for electrified/hybrid vehicles.
• Bachelor's/Master's in mechanical, electrical, or automotive engineering.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Git.
• Skills in Excel Macros, Matlab, or other coding languages.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
