Envisage Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced PowerMill Offline CNC Programmer to support its advanced CNC machining operation in the UK. This role requires strong 5-axis machining knowledge to program complex components with Autodesk PowerMill and develop efficient toolpaths for high-quality production.

You will collaborate with machine setters and operators, interpret engineering drawings, select cutting tools, simulate programs, and contribute to continuous improvement while adhering

Competenze

• Experience in offline CNC programming using Autodesk PowerMill.
• Strong understanding of multi-axis CNC machining, especially 5-axis operations.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, machining parameters and toolpath optimisation.
• Understanding of CNC machine kinematics, post-processors and collision avoidance.

Mansioni

• Create, develop and optimise CNC programs using Autodesk PowerMill offline programming software.
• Produce efficient toolpaths for complex 3-axis and 5-axis machining operations.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models and technical specifications.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, machining strategies and cutting parameters.
• Simulate and verify programs to identify collisions, issues and inefficiencies before production.
• Collaborate with machine setters and operators to ensure programs suit the machine and application.
• Support prove-outs, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of machining processes.
• Maintain accurate program documentation, revisions and machining data.
• Identify opportunities to improve cycle times, surface finish, tool life and material utilisation.
• Follow company quality, health and safety procedures.
