Job summary

Path Recruitment is seeking a skilled Powered Access Engineer based around London and the Home Counties. The role involves servicing scissor lifts, cherry pickers, and other lifting equipment, with UK-wide and international travel to prestigious client sites.

You will diagnose, maintain and provide timely breakdown responses while keeping accurate service records and operating autonomously. Ideal candidates have powered access or plant equipment experience, with IPAF and a full UK driving

Qualifications

• Experience in powered access or plant equipment roles.
• IPAF certification and a full UK driving licence preferred.
• NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications desirable.
• CAP certification would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Handle breakdown response, diagnostics and planned maintenance on powered access equipment.
• Ensure service records are completed accurately with high attention to detail.
• Work with a high level of autonomy across varied sites, including travel.
• Support UK-wide and international client sites with reliable technical service.

About the Role

As a Powered Access Engineer, you will work on a range of powered access and lifting equipment including scissor lifts, cherry pickers, and low-level access platforms used in high-spec technical environments. You will be based around London and the Home Counties, with the added excitement of UK-wide and international travel to support prestigious client sites. This is a varied, hands‑on role involving breakdown response, diagnostics, planned maintenance, and ensuring all service records are completed accurately while working with a high level of autonomy.

About You

To be successful as a Powered Access Engineer, you will have experience in powered access or plant equipment roles, working with manufacturers like Genie, JLG, or Niftylift. NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications are desirable, with IPAF and a full UK driving licence preferred. CAP certification would be beneficial.
