Put your heart into data that matters : At the Heart Foundation, we’re all about saving lives and making hearts beat stronger, longer. Now we need you - a Power BI pro with a passion for meaningful work - to help us bring our data to life and drive smarter decisions across fundraising and community engagement.

If you’ve got the smarts and the heart, this could be your perfect match.

About the role :

We’re looking for a Power BI Developer to build and optimise a brand-new reporting suite that will light up our fundraising performance with powerful insights. Your dashboards will help us spot opportunities, strengthen supporter engagement, and ultimately, keep more hearts beating. This is more than just a tech gig; this is your chance to flex your data muscles for a cause worth caring about.

You will have the opportunity to work flexibly, blending your time between home and one of our offices.

Your key responsibilities :

  • Design and build intuitive Power BI dashboards that turn data into powerful stories.
  • Use Power Query (M) and DAX to transform and model data efficiently.
  • Optimise report performance, even when handling large or complex datasets.
  • Connect Power BI to diverse data sources, especially APIs, Excel, and CSV files.
  • Clean and structure data using solid ETL processes for reliable reporting.
  • Bonus!) Integrate with CRMs like Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge or similar platforms.
  • Translate fundraising metrics like donor retention and LTV into actionable insights.
  • Ensure data governance by applying Australian privacy principles and managing user roles in Power BI.
  • Collaborate with non-technical teams, translating complex data into clear, useful insights.
  • Gather stakeholder requirements and deliver tailored reporting solutions that make an impact.

What you’ll bring : Must-haves :

  • Power BI wizardry, including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure, Power Automate, and APIs.
  • Excellent communication skills; you speak fluent data and human.
  • A portfolio that shows your flair and finesse with dashboards and insights.

Nice-to-haves (but not dealbreakers) :

  • Experience in fundraising or the charity sector.
  • Familiarity with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge (RE NXT) or other CRMs.
  • Fundraising-specific reporting expertise.

At our heart, we are driven by purpose. Every day, we make a meaningful impact through our work, and we are committed to supporting our employees in achieving a healthy work-life balance.

We are dedicated to fostering a diverse, safe, and inclusive workplace. We actively seek to represent the communities we serve and recognise the invaluable skills, knowledge, and perspectives a diverse team brings. We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and individuals from all backgrounds.

What We Offer :

  • Salary packaging to help you make the most of your earnings.
  • Flexible work-from-home options – up to 50% of your week.
  • A supportive and inclusive workplace culture where your contributions are valued.
  • Additional gifted leave during the Christmas shutdown period.
  • Wellbeing programs and initiatives to support your personal and professional growth.
