Job description

The Power System Technician will provide technical engineering services with minimal supervision, focusing on mechanical and electrical servicing, repairs, maintenance, supervision, and installation.

Location: Based in and around Emley Moor, Huddersfield, with travel required to sites.

Must haves:

  • Full UK driving license
  • City & Guilds 2382-18th Edition Regulations or 17th Edition
  • Experience in Field Services or completed electrical apprenticeship
  • Knowledge of power supplies, HVAC, ACBs, Generators, UPSs, Switches
  • Understanding of Safety, Health, and Environment legislation
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight if needed

The role:

Reporting to the team manager, the Power Systems Technician will be part of a multi-skilled team serving the Yorkshire area, contributing to daily operations, with some travel outside the area.

  • Complete planned maintenance and repairs
  • Respond to faults and outages, perform corrective maintenance
  • Support upgrades and modifications, maintain records
  • Conduct testing to ensure compliance
  • Engage with customers and participate in 24/7 callout rota
  • Ensure equipment performance and safety standards
