Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Resilience Project Engineer to support power resilience across water and wastewater sites. You will perform resilience assessments, develop proposed solutions and help implement priority interventions to ensure safe, dependable power systems that withstand interruptions.

The role applies LV engineering and resilience principles to identify vulnerabilities and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Experience in a technical role.
Experience delivering, designing and estimating LV engineering projects.
Experience applying Health & Safety Regulations and principles to electrical projects.
The ability to work independently while also building positive relationships and using initiative to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Ability to interpret and update technical documentation, single line diagrams and risk assessments.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Ability to apply LV electrical engineering and Power Resilience principles.
Ability to apply compliance and safety standards (CDM, ESQCR).
Data analysis and reporting for technical and compliance purposes.

Responsibilities

Resilience Assessments: lead LV site and system Power Resilience assessments, producing surveys, updated drawings and data packs identifying vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement.
Solution Development: lead development of Power Resilience solutions, contributing to design options, calculations and scopes with stakeholders.
Resilience Delivery: collaborate with internal delivery teams to ensure planned power investments are delivered effectively and in line with resilience standards.
Continuous Improvement: use technical problem-solving to support improvements in resilience, safety and compliance, promoting best practices across the team.
Technical Documentation and Records: maintain accurate and up-to-date technical records, including tests, inspections, drawings and outage/black start plans for assigned sites.
