Job summary

Morson Praxis is seeking a Commercial Assistant to support the commercial management of projects across its growing Power portfolio in the UK. You will report to the Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor and work with Project Managers and Site Managers to aid cost control, procurement and financial reporting.

Ideal candidates are organised, numerically confident and have a strong eye for detail. The role offers exposure to the commercial lifecycle of engineering projects and

Qualifications

• Experience in administrative or commercial project support.
• Strong numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English.
• Understanding of commercial processes in engineering/construction.
• Proactive problem-solving and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Support cost reports, valuations and financial reporting.
• Maintain commercial records: contracts, POs, variations, payments.
• Prepare client applications and subcontractor payments.
• Assist with month-end reporting and cost allocations.
• Onboard new suppliers and maintain supplier lists.
• Support procurement tracking and subcontract registers.
