Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations consultant to customize and implement F&O solutions in the UK. You will leverage the Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and integration patterns to deliver end‑to‑end ERP deployments.

You will work with business analysts and stakeholders to translate policies into system logic, ensure data integrity, and support post‑go‑live operations. The role requires cross‑functional collaboration in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline; 3 years post‑related experience.
• Proven experience developing, customizing, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).
• Proficiency in the MS Power Platform (with Copilot Studio) and in X++ and C# for F&O customizations.
• Hands‑on experience with Data Entities, DMF, and structured reporting in F&O.
• Experience supporting finance and procurement approval logic and audit‑ready ERP processes.
• Experience with Power Platform tools including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, virtual tables, and integration patterns.
• Experience with Visual Studio and Lifecycle Services (LCS).
• Familiarity with UDE and PPAC; involvement in all ERP implementation phases.
• Strong communication skills for consulting with clients and translating technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Customize and configure Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, leveraging Power Platform and related tools.
• Participate in all phases of the ERP implementation lifecycle: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, post‑go‑live support.
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to meet business needs with compliant solutions.
• Develop and stabilize core F&O modules: Procurement & Sourcing, General Ledger, Budgeting, Payments, and more.
• Extend and enhance modules via customizations and integrations; use MS Power Platform as primary path.
• Design and build integrations between F&O and external systems using Power Automate and Dataverse.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and performance in integrations; implement automated workflows and audits.
• Provide maintenance, performance tuning, and third‑level support for Dynamics 365 applications.
• Advise clients on best practices, solution design, and implementation approaches.
• Participate in UAT and communicate complex concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

• Customize and configure Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, demonstrating expertise in its data structures, frameworks, and development tools such as Visual Studio and Lifecycle Services (LCS), Unified Developer Experience (UDE), and all components of the Microsoft Power Platform including Copilot Studio.
• Participate in all phases of the Dynamics 365 F&O implementation lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and post‑go‑live support.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Develop, enhance, and stabilize core Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations modules including Procurement & Sourcing, Purchase Orders, Vendor Management, General Ledger, Budgeting, Payments, and Travel & Expense, ensuring reliable transaction processing, compliant approval flows, and high‑quality financial and procurement data.
• Extend and enhance standard Dynamics 365 modules through customizations primarily using the MS Power Platform (including Copilot Studio) but also potentially using X++, C#, and integration patterns.
• Design and build integrations between F&O and external systems using Power Automate, Dataverse, virtual tables, and RESTful APIs.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and performance in integration solutions.
• Create and maintain automated workflows and approval processes that embed business rules, thresholds, compliance controls, and auditability.
• Design, maintain, and optimize Data Entities and Data Management Framework (DMF) pipelines for structured data import/export, reporting, and cross‑system synchronization.
• Ensure data quality and consistency for finance reporting, dashboards, and audit requirements.
• Use the Power Platform to develop low‑code applications (Power Apps) and incorporate AI features to enhance F&O processes.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and third‑level support for new and existing Dynamics 365 applications, including performance tuning and bug fixes.
• Consult with clients and end‑users on technical and functional aspects of the platform, providing guidance and recommendations for solution design and best practices.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT).

Requirements

• A minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognized/certified University in a related discipline and 3 years post‑related experience.
• Proven experience developing, customizing, and supporting solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).
• Proficiency in the MS Power Platform (with particular emphasis on Copilot Studio), X++ and C# for Dynamics 365 F&O customizations and integrations.
