Job Description:

The Company

We’re working on an exciting opportunity to join a new team supporting the continued growth of a North East based business. Building on the last 15 years, the company now has over 1000 employees and customers across the country but no plans to slow down.

As a Power Apps Developer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering the new Low Code/Power Apps strategy, which is being used to rapidly evolve the backend solutions used across the business.

You’ll get hands-on with the Power Platform, designing, developing, and managing cutting-edge applications that streamline processes, solve real user challenges, and improve services for their internal user base.

In this role, you’ll not only contribute to the design of these applications but also ensure their stability, robustness, and resilience, keeping services running effectively and efficiently.

The Role

The Power Platform Developer is responsible for leading the management, maintenance, and development of applications within Microsoft Power Platform. You'll work on back-office solutions, adding features, automating processes, and analyzing and displaying data to support business decisions. This role involves leading development, assurance, data quality, security, best practices, and creating reusable components.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Support, maintain, and enhance existing applications developed using MS PowerApps and Power Pages.
  • Lead the development of new complex Power Apps applications incorporating Power Automate and PowerBI.
  • Oversee and guide other software development staff on MS Power Platform technologies.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to develop, test, and implement MS applications to meet project requirements.
  • Resolve technology issues arising during delivery and operation of MS Power Platform applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements aligned with business needs.

The Person

  • Experience in developing automated solutions using Microsoft Power Platform products such as PowerApps, Power Automate, and Microsoft Dataverse.
  • Proven ability to create user-friendly Power Apps with interfaces, views, forms, business rules, relationships, and process flows, including authentication, data validation, and visualization.
  • Strong experience with Power BI and related technologies.
  • Agile methodology experience (scrums, sprints, retrospectives).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, troubleshooting, and investigative skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence for relationship building.
  • Ability to work autonomously, be self-motivated, organized, and responsible for task planning and delivery.

Candidates should be local to the North East as some in-office work is required.
