Job description

We are currently looking for a Power Platform Architect to be based in London on a full-time basis, reporting into the Head of Subsection.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development and implementation of Power Platform solutions tailored to the insurance sector.
  • Work with solution architects to ensure the implementation of secure, scalable, and high-performance designs that utilise the most appropriate Power Platform technologies.
  • Actively contribute to architectural discussions, focusing on system security, integration, and operational efficiency.
  • Interpret business requirements to form technical requirements that meet the solution architecture.
  • Assist scrum teams to coordinate offshore, outsourced development teams, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of project milestones.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to Power Platform development teams to ensure alignment with project goals and best practices.
  • Lead recruitment and development of new Power Platform developers.
  • Author and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, implementation guides, and architecture diagrams. Ensure documentation is clear, accurate, and suitable for both internal stakeholders and future reference.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in the Power Platform and related technologies. Propose new features, enhancements, and optimizations to improve the underwriting workbench and other related insurance applications.
  • Help drive forward good conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive experience working with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and integrate model-driven and custom solutions using these tools and deployment strategies.
  • Promotion of solutions through development environments to production.
  • Consuming web services via custom-connectors and automated flows.
  • Experience working with solution architects to drive high-quality system designs with a focus on security, scalability, and system performance.
  • Experience designing scalable and flexible Dataverse data models to support evolving business data needs.
  • Deep understanding of best practices for implementing secure Power Platform solutions in an enterprise environment.
  • Understanding Production Power Platform solutions for performance monitoring and error tracking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to a broad audience.
  • Building interactive, responsive, and visually appealing user interfaces.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to align UI/UX design with user needs and business objectives within the constraints of Power Platform.
