An excellent opportunity for a Microsoft Power Platform - Automation Architect to be part of Cognizant’s Intelligent Process Automation practice. This role combines advisory services with deep vendor partnerships and integrated solutions to create and execute strategic roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define architecture models based on the organization’s business and technology vision.
- Own architectural decisions including security management, infrastructure, application layer interfacing, and solution performance standards.
- Lead the identification and evaluation of alternative solutions.
- Guide teams in identifying technical risks early in the process.
- Identify opportunities to reuse organizational technical assets (e.g., existing APIs).
- Ensure the team defines non-functional requirements aligned with organizational standards.
- Promote engineering best practices such as continuous integration and automated deployment.
- Develop relevant use cases for client engagements: POC, POV, POT, and production deployments.
- Establish standards and guidelines, driving technology best practices.
- Design and architect end-to-end solutions focusing on automation and integration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure integration and optimization of M365 (MSPP, SharePoint), D365 with other technologies.
- Oversee implementation, including proposal, requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and deployment.
- Mentor the development team during build and testing phases.
- Coordinate with deployment teams for smooth transition to production.
- Maintain security throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Apply R&D skills to analyze and find solutions based on best practices.
- Mentor colleagues in RPA training and accreditation, advising on best practices and techniques.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Experience building PowerApps (Model-driven, Canvas), Data Verse, Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop), Portal with Dynamics 365 CRM.
- Deep understanding of automation and Microsoft Power Platform.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages such as .Net, Java, VB, C#/C, HTML/CSS, Python, SQL, or related tools.
- Experience as a technology architect.
- Experience leading large RPA implementations with UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism (at least 10 processes automated).
- Experience working within an agile, CI environment.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes using Azure Pipelines and GitHub Actions.
- Experience with cloud technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Certifications in Power Automate, Power Pages, D365 solution architecture.
- Industry experience relevant to our business sector.
- Knowledge of third-party solutions and integrations.
- Experience working in the UK Public Sector.
