Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Security Co-ordinator at Medway Power Station, Kent. This permanent, full-time role focuses on safeguarding people, assets, and operations across SSE Thermal sites, working with SSE teams and security partners.

You will lead security operations, manage staffing, and drive improvements in security processes, with an emphasis on compliant reporting and incident management. A valid SIA licence is required.

• Experience leading security operations.
• Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships across internal teams and partners.
• Strong reporting and compliance mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead site security operations with clear communication and incident reporting.
• Ensure staffing coverage and continuity of service during absences and peak periods.
• Deliver training and guidance to security personnel and contractors.
• Conduct security audits, inspections, patrols and risk reviews for access control and CCTV.
• Oversee access control systems and emergency response processes.
