Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Power Plant Mechanic.
Position Status: Full-time
Position Location: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk, Virginia
Position Summary:
The Power Plant Mechanic is experienced in all phases of steam generation, maintenance of boilers, chillers, and auxiliary equipment. Responsibilities include monitoring power plant equipment; reading and interpreting control circuits, schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to determine proper operation. This individual tests, maintains, and repairs power plant equipment; monitors contractor's work to ensure quality and code compliance.
This position falls under Mission Essential Personnel
Standard Working Hours: This position is for 3rd shift - 11 PM - 7 AM. Holidays and Weekend Shifts are required as scheduled. Rotating shifts, as needed.
