Job summary

IES Utilities Group is seeking an experienced HGV and Excavator Operator to join our Power Networks team in the Blackrod area. You will operate excavators on live utility projects, transporting machinery between sites and assisting with pole replacements and transformer installations.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPCS/NPORS for excavator, CSCS or CSR card, and a full UK driving licence, with a focus on safety and compliance in live electrical environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience on power/utility infrastructure projects.
• Experience with pole replacement and transformer installations.
• Valid HGV Class 2 Licence and CPCS/NPORS certification.
• CSCS or CSR Card and full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators on utility and power infrastructure projects.
• Transport excavators and equipment between sites using a beavertail vehicle.
• Conduct daily plant checks and report defects; follow RAMS and permit systems.
