Job description

Venn Group has been approached by a private company who are looking for a Power Factor Correction (PFC) Engineer on a Permanent basis.
The Power Factor Engineer will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of power factor correction systems, ensuring optimal efficiency and compliance with industry regulations. This is a field based role across the UK, all accomodation and travel expenses will be covered, with addiotional overtime up for grabs.

For this role, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate previous experience in electrical engineering and power quality management. This role requires travel and flexibility.

Position: Power Factor Correction (PFC) Engineer

Location:Manchester

Salary: £40,000+

The role will involve:

  • Installing, inspecting, servicing, and repairing power factor correction equipment
  • Diagnosing faults and implementing corrective actions
  • Performing routine maintenance
  • Conducting efficiency tests to optimize power quality
  • Ensuring compliance with electrical safety regulations
  • Providing technical reports and recommendations to clients
  • Collaborating with other engineers on electrical system upgrades

The successful candidate must:

  • Previous experience in electrical power systems and power factor correction
  • Hold relevant electrical qualifications (such as City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Possess knowledge of reactive power management and efficiency improvement
  • Be able to troubleshoot and repair power correction equipment
  • Full clean UK driving licence
